His love endures forever. What could we accomplish in our life, if every day as an opportunity to be thankful for?
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
Philippians 4:6 NKJ
Almighty God, thank you for the brakes that failed during rush hour traffic while visiting in a large city. It provide me the opportunity to encourage and be blessed by a wonderful company, Christian Brothers Automotive.
Thank you, LORD for allowing our family to own a business in our small town. This year in particular You have turned the office upside down with staff changes. We now get by with less because You have brought great strength in the quality of the new people. You have also blessed us with amazing clients over the years. Families we have grown to love, and who appreciate the efforts of our hands.
Yawheh Rophe, we rejoice in a broken thumb. You provided a wise physician who was conservative in his approach to treatment, but permissive to understand a young man's desire to return to play football with his team. You completely healed this thumb in a few short weeks, and taught an athlete to wait on You.
Loving Father, we are grateful for college tuitions. It's all Yours anyway. You have opened incredible doors for our sons. Doors we could not have opened through our own efforts, no matter how intelligent or talented. You alone have provided above what we could ask for or imagine.
I am grateful for the endless debates in our home. Thankful the topics are about taking out the trash, making the bed, and which brand of protein powder to purchase. You have established our children with integrity, honesty and a walk that is true such that more serious, life threatening, Kingdom-issues are not required.
For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose. Romans 8:24-28 NIV
Although I am an optimist by nature, and I am filled with an incredible hope which the LORD has placed within me, sometimes I get discouraged. When I look at circumstances from my human perspective and 20/15 vision, it is difficult not to be discouraged when things go differently than expected. Loved ones die before we are ready. Friends take advantage of our generosity or betray our confidence. Family members disappoint. Injuries come, and sickness sidelines us from activities. Sometimes these happen all in the same week! The only way to keep our head up is to place our hope in the One who will intercede and help us because His love endures forever.
Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.
Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place.
Ascribe to the LORD, all you families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.
Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.
Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns!”
Let the sea resound, and all that is in it; let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them!
Let the trees of the forest sing, let them sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Cry out, “Save us, God our Savior; gather us and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name, and glory in your praise.”
Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Then all the people said “Amen” and “Praise the LORD.” 1 Chronicles 16:23-36
Pray about everything, with Thanksgiving...
